Prince Charles, the son of Prince Guillaume and Princess Stéphanie, was born on 10 May 2020 at the Grand Duchess Charlotte maternity wing in Luxembourg City.

As the first-born son of the Hereditary Grand Ducal couple, Prince Charles Jean Philippe Joseph Marie Guillaume is currently second in line to the throne and will one day become Grand Duke.

Prince Charles was christened on 19 September at the Saint-Maurice Abbey in Clervaux. Prince Louis, brother of Prince Guillaume, and Countess Gaëlle de Lannoy, sister of Princess Stéphanie, were chosen as his godparents.
