The government announced that Claude Haagen “underwent eye surgery on Tuesday 3 May 2022".
The operation “went well,” according to Haagen’s office, and he will resume his work after a brief recovery period. His return is expected early next week.
The Minister joined the government earlier this year, succeeding Romain Schneider.
