The Motorists Training Centre (CFC) at Colmar-Berg offers special courses to prepare motorcyclists for the road after the winter break.

The initiative is supported by the Ministry for Mobility and Public Works. Police officers and employees from the Automobile Club Luxembourg (ACL) also join the course to help inspect participants' motorcycles.

On Sunday, our colleagues from RTL paid a visit to one of the Fit for your Bike training courses. Even though the number of participants remained moderate during the colder morning hours, the afternoon group saw 42 motorcyclists show up in full gear.

Once spring is around the corner, motorcyclists are advised to first conduct a rigorous check of their vehicles before hitting the road. When oil, chains, and tyres are up to scratch, people should then remember to also prepare for the actual act of riding their bike.

The CFC motorcycle courses, which are held at the Colmar-Berg circuit, cost €35. Here, over the course of a few hours, motorcyclists can practice manoeuvres like full brake activation or sharp turns. They also get advice on how to handle certain situations or how to adjust their driving to road and traffic conditions. To that end, participants can also take on the perspective of a lorry driver to understand how difficult it can be for them to always spot a bike on the road.
