In addition to the indexation of salaries on 1 April, the National Health Fund (CNS) has just announced a forthcoming increase in the cost of medical care.

The index does not just lead to an increase in salaries. In response to the announced wage indexation on 1 April, the CNS has just confirmed that new medical care rates will also apply.

The wage indexation will thus also trigger a 2.5% adjustment of the applicable rates on the same date.

This applies to doctors, dentists, health professionals (nurses, physiotherapists, psychomotor therapists, midwives, speech therapists, and dieticians), as well as palliative care providers.

Under the new price scale, a consultation with a general practitioner will cost €53.60, compared to €52.30 before the indexation. The rate for a consultation with a dentist will be increased from €36.60 to €37.60 For a repeat consultation, the rate will be €19.60, instead of €19.10.

All the new rates can be found in the 'Tarif 2' column of the table available on the CNS website (page 18, document only available in French).
