Households struggling with high energy prices may be eligible to request an energy bonus from the government, a procedure that can be done online since Monday.
While the energy tripartite will take place on Tuesday afternoon, the government already decided one month ago that households eligible for the cost-of-living benefit will automatically receive an energy bonus. This allocation will range between €200 and €400.
Households that are not eligible for the former benefit can still apply for the energy bonus until the end of September. They can do so by filling out the registration form for the cots-of-living benefit, which came online on Monday.
However, the combined revenue of the household may not exceed more than a quarter of the allocation. It is also possible that only a fraction of the energy bonus is paid out in the end.
All the necessary information can be found on guichet.lu or on the site of the National Solidarity Fund. People can also use these sites to upload their application.
