Rather violent storms are passing through Luxembourg on Thursday and Friday, with wind speeds of up to 95 or even 110 km/h.
The storm reached Luxembourg at around 8pm on Wednesday evening. The orange alert initially applied til Thursday morning, but strong winds will remain throughout the day.

The situation is only expected to calm down after 5pm on Thursday evening.
According to Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps there have been reports of 21 fallen trees as of Thursday afternoon, while two building sites have seen fences blown away by the wind. Two houses have reported damage to their rooftops. The ACL has warned drivers to be cautious on the roads in case of debris and dangerous driving conditions, while a number of roads have been blocked by falling branches.
