A patrol station in Luxembourg City fell victim to an armed robber on Sunday morning. The police are now looking for witnesses.

According to preliminary information, the crime occurred at the petrol station situated on Boulevard du Général George S. Patton in the capital.

The man in question entered the petrol station shortly before 9am in the morning. He then threatened staff with a firearm and demanded that they hand over the contents of the cash register, which amounted to €400.

The robber then fled the scene in an unknown direction. There is no description of the culprit other than that he wore a hat or cap. Shortly after the incident, staff members of the petrol station observed a suspicious vehicle, but a police check showed that there was no connection.
