The 58th edition of the Luxembourg Autofestival launched today.

The car festival will run until 5 February, with 80 dealerships showcasing their motorised vehicles across 170 exhibition halls.

Certain measures have been set up to increase the safety of employees and clients amid the pandemic, including social distancing and masks.

Furthermore, dealerships are not allowed to serve food or drinks for the occasion. Sales made during the annual festival usually make up about 30 to 40% of annual turnover.

The Luxembourg Consumer Association (ULC) has meanwhile issued a statement to remind people to familiarise themselves with buying conditions before making a decision.

Details about the car, the prices, and delivery dates have to be clearly indicated, the ULC statement notes. In case of open questions, customers are more than welcome to contact the ULC, officials further underline.
