The European Union has only approved the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine for children so far. It comes at a third of the original dose designed for adults, 10 µg.

Parents who want their children to be inoculated have to take an appointment at one of the three vaccination centres in Limpertsberg, Ettelbruck, or Esch-Belval. They need their child’s social security number to do so and are required to accompany them to the appointment. Furthermore, a selected list of paediatricians eligible to vaccinate children can be found on the coronavirus information page from the Ministry of Health.

Only one of the parents of five to eleven-year-olds has to authorise the vaccination of their child, the law dictates, while minors aged 16 may decide for themselves.
