The staff member, who is not vaccinated, has a managerial position at the National Health Directorate and is said to have asked a co-worker to certify him a forged negative PCR test result.
This was reported by the weekly newspaper 'Lëtzebuerger Land'.
The colleague is said to have refused and instead informed the head of the National Health Directorate, Dr Jean-Claude Schmit. Dr Schmit allegedly suspended the staff member and informed the public prosecutor’s office.
A spokesperson of the National Health Directorate confirmed to 'Lëtzebuerger Land' that the agency has sent a file related to a staff member to the public prosecutor’s office.
The Ministry of Health has yet to comment on the accusations.
