The organising team of TEDxLuxembourgCity volunteers has confirmed Saturday, 4 December 2021 as the date for its next regionally hosted version of the popular TED conference.

This independently produced half-day event, operated under the license from TED, will be held at Kinepolis Kirchberg in Luxembourg City.

Taking inspiration from the changing face of the world during a global pandemic, the theme of this year’s second TEDxLuxembourgCity event is ‘The New Normal’ and how we, individually and collectively, are adapting our personal and professional lives in the face of it.

The event will feature some of the region’s leading thinkers, innovators, disrupters, artists and entertainers sharing with us their thought-provoking ideas on ‘new’ areas that are or will be considered normal, including happiness, extreme adventure and overcoming challenges, dance, corporate social responsibility, the future of food, martial arts and many more. The speaker line-up will be announced in the coming weeks.

With a view to support the incredible international nature of Luxembourg City, the event will be held in English.

Candida Nedog, Chief Networking Officer of TEDxLuxembourgCity, explains: “The mission of TEDxLuxembourgCity is to engage and bring together people from Luxembourg and the greater region to share ideas and create a movement with a view to enhancing a future for us all. During the last 18 months, we all have experienced some pretty challenging times. Our normality today, in both our personal and professional lives, will not be the same as our normality tomorrow which, in turn, is definitely not the same as it was a couple of years ago.”

Jevgenija Fedorasko, Chief Experience Officer, continues: “Exploring this new normal is our ‘duty’ at TEDxLuxembourgCity.” With a proven track record of selling out its past events, TEDxLuxembourgCity ‘The New Normal’ in person event on 4 December at Kinepolis Kirchberg is one not to miss. Tickets are now on sale at €45 per person and can be purchased on online.

TEDxLuxembourgCity is incredibly grateful to be sponsored by ING and expresses appreciation to its partners Kinepolis Kirchberg for event hosting and RTL Today as their media partner.

If you can't go in person, you can also follow the event live on RTL Today, and watch the presentations on RTL Today afterwards.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxLuxembourgCity, where x = independently organized TED event.

At our TEDxLuxembourgCity event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

About TEDxLuxembourgCity

TEDxLuxembourgCity is dedicated to gather like-minded people in Luxembourg and the greater region to share and explore idea-focused talks, demonstrations and performances that aim to encourage learning, provoke and build a better future.
