The approximately 220 bridges spanning the Alzette, Our, Mamer, Eisch, or Sûre, among others, were checked after the floods.
The severe flooding in mid-July caused enormous damage, particularly to private homes, but also to municipal and state buildings.
The country's bridges, however, were mostly spared.
Some 220 bridges spanning the Alzette, the Our, the Mamer, the Eisch, or the Sûre, among others, were checked following the natural disaster. Maintenance and repair work had to be carried out on only 30 of them. About 50 bridges had to be cleared of debris.
