The latest figures from Luxembourg show that 224 new cases of coronavirus were discovered over the last 72 hours.

Monday's update contains the data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as the government has stopped releasing coronavirus figures on the weekend.

133 cases were recorded on Friday, with 84 on Saturday and 7 on Sunday.

One new death from Covid-19 was reported, meaning the total death toll in the Grand Duchy now stands at 821.

18,272 tests were conducted over the three days. The positivity rate was thus 1.22%

There are eight patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, which is down one from yesterday, with five patients in intensive care, unchanged from the Friday update.

As of yesterday, there were 1,497 active infections in Luxembourg, while 70,667 people have recovered from the virus.

385,713 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg. 299,764 people are now fully vaccinated.

As of yesterday, the R rate is at 0.88.
