Prices in the construction industry have jumped up by 4.3% between October 2020 and April 2021.
It represents the strongest half-yearly increase observed since April 1992.
This exceptional increase is thought to be caused by the sudden surge in building material prices. Year on year, prices in residential construction are up 5.2%.
