The rule will be implemented from Monday onwards and will be in effect until at least 30 June.

In response to the increased circulation of the Covid-19 mutation strain, known as the delta variant, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Ministry of Health have put in place restrictions for any incoming travel from the United Kingdom.

Anyone who has stayed in the UK during the fourteen days prior to their arrival in Luxembourg must take a Covid-19 test as soon as possible. PCR, TMA, or LAMP tests are accepted and can be taken by indicating to the laboratories that they have been in the UK. When arriving by air travel, the test will be carried out free of charge at the testing station at Findel airport.

A strict seven-day quarantine is applied to the arrivals, who must take a second test as of the sixth day of quarantine. Should this test not be taken, the quarantine will be extended by another seven days. Those concerned must declare their arrival to the Health Inspectorate (by e-mail: contact-covid@ms.etat.lu or by telephone: 247-65533), which will ensure follow-up and enhanced tracing.Details of these restrictions and the various exceptions will be available on the following website:
