The Conjuncture Committee met under the co-chairmanship of the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dan Kersch, and the Minister of the Economy, Franz Fayot.

From July 1, 2021, access to partial unemployment will be defined according to legal provisions provided for in the Labour Code. In other words, access to partial unemployment may, where appropriate, be cyclical or structural, for cases of force majeure or for economic dependence.

27,000 employees affected in June

In May 2021, 3,709 companies (compared to 4,061 in April) submitted a request for partial unemployment for the month of June.

The Conjuncture Committee approved 3,676 requests, which concern some 27,030 employees - a decrease, compared to 31,342 in April.
