Extensive infrastructure works are due to begin in Diekirch from 31 May, lasting until the end of the year.
The roadworks will result in the full closure of rue du Pont for the duration, with traffic deviated via rue de Stavelot, rue Esplanade and rue Alexis Heck.
Buses will be allowed to use rue de Stavelot in both directions in order to minimize the impact on local passenger traffic. Transit traffic coming from the opposite direction (Bleesbruck / Gilsdorf) will be diverted as a priority via the Fridhaff roundabout in the direction of Ettelbrück, and rue du Palais will only be open to residents so that traffic is not not move in residential areas.
The crossroads in Diekirch town centre will be reorganised ahead of the road closure.
