
The EU employment rate for people between 20 and 64 years of age was 72.6% in the fourth quarter of 2020, an increase of 0.3%.

The difference in the employment rate between the third and fourth quarter of 2020 varies between the different EU member states.
The highest increase was registered in Luxembourg (+2.1%), followed by Estonia (+1.2%). While the rate increased in 18 countries, it decreased in five: Slovakia and Belgium (both -0.3%), Austria (-0.2%), as well as Hungary and Cyprus (both -0.1%).
