As the pandemic has made it more difficult for people to go skiing, many opted to switch to warmer and sunnier holiday destinations.

Four LuxairTours planes were destined for the Canary Islands and one for Madeira, all of them fully booked. Apart from accompanying the number of passengers wanting to leave the country on Saturday, airport staff was further busy defrosting the planes before take-off.

People that booked both their flights and hotels with the Luxembourgish airline will receive a free PCR test, which can be used at the respective hotel before the return flight.
