The National Health Laboratory (LNS) has confirmed that three cases of the coronavirus variant first discovered in South African have been found in the Grand Duchy.
On Tuesday, it had already been announced that a total of 36 cases of the UK variant have so far been discovered in Luxembourg. The UK variant currently accounts for around 16% of all sequenced viruses in the country. At the moment, the LNS is analysing approximately 10% of all positive tests.
The LNS' full report is available on the laboratory's website.
