On Tuesday morning, the CEO of Luxair talked to our colleagues from RTL.lu about the latest travel restrictions and measures imposed by the government.

Feith elaborated that a lot of consideration has gone into the process: "Nobody will fly with us who has not tested negative for Covid-19."

Passengers who booked both their flight and hotel with the airline will have their charges covered in case of an enforced quarantine period. People who organised their stay separately have to find a solution themselves.

The CEO further announced that Luxair is already looking for partner laboratories abroad, which may help send mobile testing units to hotels. Some of their passengers may also be equipped with tests.

The airline will only allow for people to travel on their planes if they have a negative test result, Feith underlined. He further conveyed that people seem to remain adamant about flying with a notable demand for Dubai and the Canary Islands.
