At around 10am this morning, two workers fell a distance of around 7 metres after a beam came loose, leading to a collapsed wall. A third employee, standing on the ground, was also injured as the wall came down. All three suffered serious injuries in the process.
A fourth employee who was at the top of the wall escaped without serious injury.
The injured parties received first aid at the scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment.
The incident warranted police intervention and the public prosecutor was notified. It is not yet known what led to the crane dropping the beam.
