The proposed amendments will once more increase restrictions, with bars and restaurants set to close their doors again. The State Council notes that the measures will come into effect on Wednesday evening at 11 pm, as long as they are passed by the Chamber on Tuesday.
The council further questioned the classification of essential businesses, with currently 7 commercial sectors being forced to shut down. It was also noted that some linguistic clarifications were needed to avoid grey areas in the differentiation between commercial and cultural institutions.
The council also proposed that instead of reducing the number of guests from 4 to 2, one could decide to only allow the invitation of a single household to one's home, regardless of the number of people living in it.
The only formal opposition was directed at the measures in place for court sessions, where currently the president of each respective case can decide over the safety measures. The council demanded that universal standards be introduced.
