
The ministry of finance announced the agreement on Monday evening. It is an exceptional ruling, which has now been expended to ease tax issues for cross-border workers.
Belgian employees are given the possibility to continue working remotely from home without having to pay taxes at a later stage. Before the crisis, they were only able to do so on 24 days per year. Around 50,000 people could benefit from this ruling.
A similar agreement has already been found with Germany, while negotiations with France are currently being held.
