Most new cases are once more reported in the canton of Esch, with a total of 788 infections within 20 days, which translates to 43 people per 10,000 residents. Luxembourg City counts 312 infections, thus 25 cases per 10,000 residents.
These two cantons are followed by Luxembourg’s periphery, Capellen, Mersch, Diekirch, Remich and Wiltz, all with 12-15 cases per 10,000 residents.
The least number of infections are counted in Vianden, with only six cases in total. Some organisations, including Syvicol, have criticsed the map as it stigmatises inhabitants of the different cantons based on how well the district is doing.
