Under the banner “nothing works without us”, OGBL demands a 10% increase in health care workers employed in the country’s hospitals, nursing homes, as well as the wider social sector. The union’s representatives underlined that recent months had reaffirmed the graveness of the problem.
“Moreover, training programs in the health sector need to be adapted to make the respective jobs more attractive”, noted Pitt Bach, secretary general of OGBL’s health and social services.
According to the representatives, the union will not shy away from doing everything in its power to implement these changes.
