
The case prosecutor used the fourth day of trial to emphasise the amount of effort that had gone into the preparation of the murder in 2016.
Ten investigators have worked the case since the death of both victims. Footage from nearby security cameras has been analysed to check the validity of the defendant's account of the events.

The emergency doctor at the scene reported that he had never experienced comparable circumstances to what he witnessed in Bereldange. The defendant allegedly showed little reaction to the confirmation of death, while being involved in a heavy discussion with one of his colleagues. However, when he saw that content from one of the victims' stomachs was removed, he became frantic.
The trial will continue on Wednesday.
