The Chamber of Trades published a press release on Saturday addressing the government. The statement requests that artisanal and craft businesses be allowed to reopen on 11 May, provided hygiene measures are kept.
The Chamber also published a detailed recovery plan for the sector, which can be found here. It includes 36 proposals to be implemented in two stages, and is oriented around the following priorities: governance in terms of economic recovery, guidance for companies, short-term measures to stabilise all economic activities, medium-term measures to ensure liquidity, competitiveness, profitability, productivity and the development of business skills.
The statement went on to say that the Chamber felt the reopening of such businesses could be possible due to cooperation between companies and occupational health, to ensure safety measures are correctly implemented.
