On average, temperatures during the day in April reach a maximum of 15°C.
Météo France said all of northern France had experienced unusually high temperatures over the last week.
The organisation explained the heatwave is expected to last over the weekend, with temperatures predicted to reach 27°C in Strasbourg on Sunday. But the weather will take a turn on Monday, dropping almost ten degrees as cold air arrives from the north.
