The demand for protective equipment has increased on a large scale amidst the coronavirus pandemic, affecting countries all over Europe.

In order to meet the growing need for protective masks and anti-bacterial gel, the General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises has decided to support companies that have amended their production chain to make these essential goods.

Consequently, the General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises will bear 100% of the investment costs linked to the reorientation of this production, through the so-called “de minimis” aid.

The granting of this financial aid will be limited to the period of emergency.

Interested companies are invited to contact the Directorate (telephone number: 2477-4705; e-mail address: info.aide.pme@eco.etat.lu). Note that companies that invest in infrastructure intended to set up a teleworking system can also submit requests for financial assistance under the general investment aid scheme.

Minister Lex Delles specified that citizens and businesses must show solidarity in these trying times. The Directorate had therefore decided to take on investment costs in the best interests of society.
