Any non-essential travel is forbidden under Wednesday's Grand-Ducal regulation.
As part of the state of emergency, the Prime Minister introduced a traffic ban that affects everyone.
The only valid reasons for leaving the home are included in the Grand-Ducal regulation of 18 March 2020.
Here they are:
- procurement of food, pharmaceuticals and basic necessities,
 - acquisition of agricultural, viticultural, horticultural and forestry products,
 - travel to health facilities,
 - travel to the workplace for the exercise of professional activity,
 - assistance and care for the elderly, minors, the dependent, the disabled and the particularly vulnerable,
 - travel to social security organisations in case of emergency,
 - travel, in case of emergency, to financial and insurance institutions as well as to postal services,
 - travel to the commercial and artisanal entities listed here,
 - due to force majeure or a situation of necessity,
 - outdoor leisure activities on an individual basis or limited to people who live together, without any gathering and subject to respecting an interpersonal distance of two metres.
