Kirchberg hospital implemented a number of precautionary measures to protect patients and medical staff against coronavirus.
Before being allowed to enter the hospital, each visitor is required to have his or her temperature checked. Visitors also need to answer a variety of questions.
The goal of these measures is clear: the hospital hopes to prevent coronavirus from spreading into the hospital as this would severely jeopardise the safety of both patients and medical staff.
The new measures were taken in the light of one patient testing positive for coronavirus late last night. Hospital management was solely responsible for the quick implementation of the measures. The Ministry of Health reportedly did not provide the hospital with a plan.
