
Rockwell, who previously served as Counselor for Political and Economic Affairs at the US Embassy in Brussels, brings a career spanning more than two decades, with earlier assignments throughout Europe, South America, and the Middle East.
The career diplomat also served as Director of European and North African Affairs at the Office of the US Trade Representative in Washington. Fluent in Portuguese, Czech, French, and Romanian, Rockwell expressed excitement about this new step in his career in a press release on Tuesday: "I am honored to support Ambassador Feinberg as U.S.-Luxembourg cooperation expands across defense, innovation, trade, and investment." He added that he looks forward not only to experiencing Luxembourg, but also to "get to know the people who make it such a valued friend and ally."
US Ambassador Stacey Feinberg said in the same statement: "I am delighted to welcome Ben to the team. His experience and expertise will be invaluable in deepening our already exceptional partnership with Luxembourg."
