Tickets to join the guided tours around the royal gardens sold out quickly, as people were eager to take a look around the park which opened to visitors for the first time last weekend.
The “Rendez-Vous aux jardins” (“See you in the gardens”) initiative was launched across Europe in 2018. In 2023, more than 3,000 gardens or parks participated in the event, spread across 25 different countries. From 31 May to 1 June, 50 gardens in Luxembourg welcomed visitors to enjoy their surroundings in nature. Among the parks participating were Munsbach Castle’s rose garden, and the Peppange cloisters garden.
Selected parks even organised special yoga sessions, concerts or festivals among the flowers. The Ministry of Culture said that gardens and parks are sites for memory and meditation, as well as an important resource for the planet’s renewal.
