Saint-Paul Group71 redundancies planned at publishing group, says RTL source
According to an RTL source, redundancy letters were issued to the staff members concerned on Thursday, following a breakdown in talks between the LCBG union and the group's new owner, Mediahuis, earlier this week.
The Luxembourg Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (LCGB) advised the employees in question to lodge an appeal with the labour tribunal following confirmation of the redundancies. The union also accused the new Belgian owners of wanting to save money.
