
The accident happened shortly before reaching Schoenfels, near a chalet on the CR101. The exact circumstances of the crash are still under investigation, according to a statement from the police on Thursday evening.
Emergency services arrived promptly at the scene but were unable to save the motorcyclist. Firefighters from Kehlen, Mersch, and Luxembourg City, along with ambulances from Lintgen and Nordstad, responded to the incident. Rescue workers from Ettelbruck were also mobilised.
The route was closed to traffic while emergency services worked at the scene. A diversion was set up via Keispelt and Quatre-Vents to manage the flow of traffic.
At around the same time in Hamm, at the Iergärtchen roundabout, two cars collided.
