
On the night of Friday to Saturday, police carried out a major alcohol screening operation checking a total of 377 motorists, with 15 testing positive for alcohol and two driving licences confiscated.
The checks took place between 9.30pm and 2.15am, at the junction of the N15 and the N12 in Buderscheid, at the corner of Rue Principale and Rue de Bastogne in Grevels and on the Route de Bastogne in Niederfeulen.
All in all, 377 drivers were asked to take a breathalyser test. Of those, 15 came back positive, and in two cases the driving licence was seized on the spot.
A further 17 violations of road traffic regulations were also picked up during the operation.
