Regional directorates have had a few individual cases reported of children refusing to wear a mask during school. A total of 12 cases were reported to the Ministry.
But with a total of 52,000 pupils in public primary schools, this number is negligible, said the Minister for Education, Claude Meisch, in response to an urgeny parliamentary question by CSV MPs Martine Hansen and Jean-Paul Schaaf. There have been no cases reported in the secondary school system.
Claude Meisch explained further that there are currently efforts to include the sanitary recommendations for schools in the Covid legislation.
