Luxtrust token, remote work, Ukraine aid referendum…11 new parliamentary petitions open for signatures

RTL Today
On Tuesday, the Chamber of Deputies published 11 new petitions on its website, which can be signed until 5 August. Petitions that gather at least 4,500 signatures by this date will be discussed in a public debate in the Chamber of Deputies.

The latest petitions cover a range of topics, including the maintenance of the LuxTrust Token, the banning of smartphones in schools, and facilitating police access for Luxembourg citizens who do not speak French or German.

One petitioner is advocating for an increase in the number of remote working days authorised for cross-border workers, citing ongoing road and rail projects. Another petition calls for a referendum on continuing military aid to Ukraine.

Two petitions specifically address banking issues. One demands that all banks provide a basic service, while the other calls for every bank to maintain at least one branch in each municipality.

All petitions are available on www.petitiounen.lu.
