Luxembourg-based (LLC) drink manufacturer Purple Beverages have applied to Turkey’s Competition Authority in efforts to acquire Doğanay Foods.
Dating back to the 60s, Doğanay Foods are manufacturers of produce such as lemons, strawberries and pineapple, as well as other products like vinegar.
The company is responsible for more than 90 percent of Turkey’s turnip juice market, a traditional cold beverage.
Turnip juice is often also a side for rakı, the traditional alcoholic Turkish drink that turns from clear to gray when mixed with water.
