INFORMATION
As always with new Apple releases, a flurry of rumours have spread throughout the media in recent weeks. Find some below:
- The new iPhone design was accidentally released in advance (three camera lenses on the back, the distinctive apple logo is more centred) by an accessories vendor. Tweet evidence below!
- a leak on Chinese social networks suggests the iPhone 11 prices will start at $749 for an entry level model;
- new colour ways could be available: mentions of a green iPhone have surfaced on various specialised media;
- according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 11 will not have the reverse charging option which would recharge AirPods or the Apple Watch;
- new image stabilisation technology could be integrated into the new iPhone models, according to Steve Moser of MacRumors. He claimed to have spotted technology named “Sensor Image Stabilization” when looking at iOS 13 code;
- Mark Gurman, specialist “Apple and Devices” journalist at Bloomberg claims the Pro version will be called “iPhone Pro” rather than “iPhone 11 Pro";
- according to the same source, the rapid charger (18W) will be available on the “Pro” version but not on the basic iPhone 11;
- a new 10.2 inch iPad could also be announced at the Keynote on Tuesday. This could be the promised “one more thing” rumoured a few weeks ago...
