This vibrant traditional event, celebrating the sacred union of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita, will be held for the first time in the Grand Duchy on 21 April.
The event begins at 8am and has different programme highlights, starting with Pallaki Seva, whereby devotees carry the Pallaki of Goddess Sita and Lord Sri Rama on their shoulders.
This is followed by symbolic offerings of milk, honey and other items, as well as a children’s chant and donations towards a sacred cow.
Numerous volunteers have been working tirelessly to ensure the event’s success, decorating the venue and preparing a delicious feast for both the eyes and the stomach.
To experience this cultural extravaganza, interested parties can register on the association’s website.
The event itself takes place at 3, Rue des Ecoles, L-4994 Schouweiler on 21 April between 8am-1pm – a day when Luxembourg and India become one in celebration.
