On the Sam Steen Show this morning Natalie Von Laufenberg spoke about the CID Fraen An Gender, a large public library located on Rue Beck, dedicated entirely to feminist literature and works by women and LGBTQI+ people. The library has an extensive music department, as well as work space and children’s books. They offer literature in French, German, Luxembourgish, and English. If there are any works you think are missing from the collection, let them know, and they would be happy to add them to their ever-growing selection.

Tonight, the 16th, the CID has programmed a stage for Fete De La Musique at Place D’Armes. The show begins at 20:00 and features feminist and LGBTQ+ musicians. The performers are: Miss Sappho, a DJ whose set consists of Deep House and Tech House; SheWolf, a feminist grunge band from France; Nicool, a Luxembourg based rapper who performs in Luxembourgish; Noah Pearce, a singer-songwriter; and Mari Jay & Kader Fahem, performing Cape Verdean soul music.
Nicool will be performing a brand new song commissioned by the CID about structural sexism they have experienced in the cultural scene. Noah Pearce, who was interviewed on the Sam Steen show last week, will be making his Luxembourg debut of his new single “Ballet Dancer.”
