The Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg is hosting its annual Chinese New Year celebration at Place d'Armes on 25 January, featuring traditional arts, authentic cuisine, and an exciting dragon parade.

On Saturday, 25 January 2025, the Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Union Commerciale de la Ville de Luxembourg (UCVL) and Galeries Lafayette Luxembourg, is hosting a lively celebration for the Chinese New Year in the heart of Luxembourg City

From 1pm to 3pm, Place d’Armes will come alive with a variety of Chinese arts and activities. Attendees can try their hand at Chinese calligraphy, explore Chinese paintings, and enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine.

At 3pm, the event will feature a Chinese dragon parade, a must-see spectacle for the occasion. Martial arts specialists and artists from Luxembourg, France, and Belgium will perform, bringing the dragon to life in a stunning show of movement and colour. The parade will start at Place d’Armes and make its way through the city center.
