Today Radio InterviewAfterwork Swimming for the Red Cross launches on 14 June

RTL Today
For the first time since the COVID 19 pandemic, Afterwork Swimming for Croix Rouge is back!

Afterwork Swimming is a competition in which teams complete two different hour long stages, an endurance hour and a relay hour, in order to raise money for the Red Cross. Ahead of the fundraising launch on Wednesday, Carolina and Barbara of the Luxembourg Red Cross appeared on the Sam Steen Show to explain more about the event.

The endurance hour requires teams to swim as many laps as possible and the relay portion has sillier, less intense races. The entrance fee paid by each team goes to Croix Rouge Luxembourg.

This year there are seven teams signed up, with space for two more. The event started in 2014 with only two teams competing.

Each team can have up to ten participants. The teams can be made up of any group of people, not just offices.

Afterwork Swimming will be hosted at Les Thermes Strassen and starts at 18:00 sharp on Wednesday the 14th.

If you have a team interested in joining the event, email AWS.croix-rouge@proton.me.
