Oh this sounds lovely. The International Dog Show, held annually for over 50 years, is back this weekend at LuxExpo. So much more than your average dog show, the event is a stage for innovative brands promoting animal health and welfare, a platform for entertainment and a source of information for dog owners and those looking to add a dog to their family. In short, the International Dog Show is an event that deals with every aspect of dog ownership. There are also some very prestigious competitions held on both days!

4. Watch Top Gun Maverick at open air cinema

5. Visit Sunday morning art market

On the first Sunday of the month (one more edition after this), artists and creatives gather in the beautiful Grund district to showcase their work. It's one big open air pop-up gallery. Find something new for your collection, or just stroll along and meet artists face to face. Great in combination with a coffee or brunch in the area.

6. Take your dog for a swim

Is your dog crazy about cannonballs? Then they'll definitely enjoy a big splash in Luxembourg's pools this September! 7. Ride the historic steam train
What: Great museum in the south

Train 1900 hosts its open day this Sunday! Come and explore the old mining park, ride on one of several steam trains, learn about ironworks and art crafting, or visit restoration works. A great family event.
