1. Explore free World Music Festival

What: Cultural exchange

Use your bank holiday to join the BELONG World Music Festival, a celebration of Luxembourg’s multicultural heritage. Watch live concerts featuring music ensembles, participate in workshops, see film screenings and engage with artists and attendees in cultural exchanges. Entrance is free, attendees register here.

2. Hear Chalk at Rotondes

Chalk, the noise-rock three-piece from Belfast have fast established themselves as one of the most talked-about acts on the emerging scene, following the release of their debut album earlier this year. Supported by Steffou (DJ Set) at Rotondes, as part of the Congés Annulés festival.

3. Shop for iconic vinyls or sell your collection

4. Watch Back To The Future for free

What: Sunset Cinema
Where: 34 Rue Neugarten, Vianden

Sunset Cinema is openings its doors in Vianden this Saturday with a free screening of Back To The Future! Bring snacks, film starts at 9pm.

5. Attend crowning of Miss Crémant 2024

What: Crémant. Lots of crémant.
Where: Remich

This may just be the most Luxembourgish thing ever, but prepare for Miss Crémant of Luxembourg 2024 to be crowned this weekend in Remich. There will be lots of food and drinks as well as a DJ for those wanting to pop into the party for a little bit.

6. See retro cars in Petange

What: For all petrol heads
Where: Pétange, rue de Linger
When: Saturday, 17 August between 10am-9pm - more info here

Old and youngtimers gather in Petange on Saturday for ‘Start your engine 2024', a celebration of classic motorised vehicles. Check out the cars being showcased as DJs and food stands provide grooves and refreshments.

7. Learn about Luxembourg history

What: English guided tour
Where: City Museum, 14 Rue du St Esprit
When: Sunday, 18 August at 4pm – more info here

Every Sunday you can take part in a free English guided tour of the exhibition “The Luxembourg Story: More than 1000 years of urban history” at the City Museum. This is the best place to learn about our country’s history.
