Welcome to the weekend! Attend various music festivals, see comic book authors and collections, meet expats at an apero event, learn about water, taste wines from Ehnen and walk your dogs with others in Steinfort.

1. Visit International Comics Festival in Contern

What: 30th edition of Festival BD

The International Comics Festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary in Contern, attracting artists and visitors from around the world. Over 50 international authors, 10 local artists and 100 comic dealers will be present with comics in various formats, languages and styles. Sunday also includes an exciting Comic Parade. Grab your tickets at the door for just €5 (children are free, as are residents of surrounding communes) at this lovely, family-friendly and by now internationally renowned comic event.

2. Groove out to old town blues and jazz festival

Luxembourg City’s historic streets will come alive with vibrant sounds as the Blues’n’Jazz Rallye returns, transforming Pfaffenthal, Clausen, and the Grund into an all-night music festival featuring 40 acclaimed musicians and ensembles across eight stages. 3. Hear local acts at Flow Music Festival

Catch top local music acts across all genres in Esch Belval at the three-day Flow Music Festival. From pop to indie and math rock, there’s something for everyone. Tickets are available for single days as well as all three. There’s also a design market and workshops.

4. Meet other expats at Thursday apero

What: Aperinetwork Luxembourg

Aperinetwork Luxembourg, most likely Luxembourg’s largest expat networking community, is hosting its final pre-summer networking event on Thursday night at Ceruzzi in Gasperich. Come along, it’s free, to meet other expats, see entertaining acts and enjoy tasty food and drinks provided by the restaurant.

5. Attend activities around water

The Around the Water festival returns this weekend for the third edition at the Alzette pond in Thil! On the programme are fun activities on the theme of water and ecology, DJ sets and storytelling walks. It’s all free.

6. Taste wines in Ehnen

Where: All across Ehnen

The picturesque Moselle town of Ehnen is a big wine producer, and this Sunday the wine caves are opening their doors for the Ehnen Wine Day. Try dozens of wines and cremants alongside entertainment and food, and meet the makers behind some of these lovely bottles.

7. Walk dogs and play games in Steinfort

The Muppentreff Stengefort is organising its first group dog walk. Encounter entertaining games for your pet along a 6-kilometre route, as well as a quiz challenge. Drinks and snacks are also provided. Sign up quickly (Muppentreff.Stengefort@gmail.com) as places are limited.
