1. Dance to DJs at LOA festival

Luxembourg Open Air is a pulsating electronic music festival taking place in Esch Belval and Kirchberg every year. This weekend, a line-up of internationally renowned DJs and electronic music producers is turning up the heat in Belval, making for a massive outdoor party.

2. Get stuffed at food truck festival

Food trucks from around the Benelux and France are rolling onto Kirchberg’s plateau for the Yumm Festival! Head down to Place de l’Europe for a fine selection of meaty, veggie, vegan, Asian, Thai, American or Italian food truck dishes - there’s something for everyone!

3. Experience magic-themed Philharmonie weekend

What: Concerts for kids
Where: Philharmonie, 1 Pl. de l’Europe, 1499 Clausen
When: Saturday, 4 May and Sunday, 5 May - PARTLY FREE - info & tickets

Children of all ages are invited to the Philharmonie this weekend for magic-themed concerts, workshops, readings and other participation activities. Whilst some of the events require a ticket, many are free too. See the full schedule on the Philharmonie’s website.

4. See British play ‘The Confessions’

What: With 9 dancers
Where: Grand Théâtre, 1 Bd Robert Schuman, L-2525 Luxembourg
When: Friday, 3 May - Sunday, 5 May - info & tickets

Alexander Zeldin‘s new play, “The Confessions” is based on interviews with his mother, plotting her history from growing up in Australia, to life in London and talking to her grandchild at the end of her life. In English with French subtitles.

5. Watch The Truman Show

What: Real classic
Where: Cinémathèque, 17 Pl. du Théâtre, 2613 Luxembourg

An insurance salesman is oblivious of the fact that his entire life is a TV show and his family members are mere actors. As he starts noticing things and uncovers the truth, he decides to escape. An iconic film with Jim Carrey.

6. Run around Echternach Lake for a good cause

What: UNICEF lake run
Where: Echternach lake
When: Saturday, 4 May at 11am - info & tickets

Take part in a fun walk or run around the shores of Lake Echternach in support of children in need. Live music, food and drinks as well as kid-friendly activities. Registration is 25 euros per person. All proceeds go to UNICEF’s projects around the world.

7. Exchange plants at Rotondes

What: Buy or exchange
Where: Rotondes, 3 Place des Rotondes
When: Saturday, 4 May at 11am - FREE - more info here

The plant exchange is coming to town. Not only will you be able to buy organic vegetable, fruit, herb and flower plants, but you can also bring your own plants and seeds to exchange or give away. Remember to bring crates, boxes and trays to transport the plants! From 10am to 5pm at the Rotondes in Luxembourg City.
