1. Hear The Aquatic Museum

What: Pop meets chamber music

The Aquatic Museum is a pop/chamber music collective that was founded in 2021 by singer-songwriter Claire Parsons, musician and app developer Laurent Peckels and violist Nicole Miller. This Thursday the big collective is on stage at Neimenster.

Inspired by Sufjan Stevens, Emiliana Torrini and Agnes Obel, The Aquatic Museum album invites listeners to delve into the secrets of as yet undiscovered aquatic realms. Strings, horns, electronic instruments, choirs, playful piano parts and captivating guitar riffs. The colour palettes of jazz harmony, the delicacy of a chamber ensemble and the energy of a pop band.

2. Snack & dance at PICelectroNIC

Headbanging kids and grooving parents unite: PICelectroNIC is all about beats, workshops, crazy shows and music installations combined with a tasty food corner! It’s electrifying! Grab your tickets to either Saturday or Sunday, or a full weekend pass.

3. Party to the 90s

What: Rock your body

Break out the neon and tease up that hair because Den Atelier are throwing it back to the flyest decade of them all. It’s time to channel your inner Spice Girl or Backstreet Boy and relive the glory days of cassette tapes and dial-up internet. Join this party for a rad night filled with all your favorite hits from the decade that brought us grunge, boy bands, and the Macarena. It Smells Like Teen Spirit, so come dressed to impress in your best denim overalls and platform sneakers. Don’t be a Loser, be a Survivor of the 90s and let’s Party Like It’s 1999!


4. Visit Luxembourg Art Fair

What: 7th edition
Where: LuxExpo, 10 Circuit de La Foire Internationale, 1347 Kirchberg
When: Thursday, 18 April - Sunday, 21 April - info & tickets

The Luxembourg Art Fair showcases 80 galleries from Europe and beyond, with over 3,000 paintings, sculptures, photographs on sale. Speak to some of the artists themselves, listen to live music programmed for the event or grab a coffee while you stroll through the exhibition.

5. See Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

What: Adventure/Fantasy
Where: Cinémathèque, 17 Pl. du Théâtre, 2613 Luxembourg

A ring with mysterious powers lands in the hands of a young hobbit, Frodo. Under the guidance of Gandalf, a wizard, he and his three friends set out on a journey and land in the Elvish kingdom...

6. Sign up to DKV-UrbanTrail

What: 5/10/18/27/34km
Where: Starting point at Cité judiciaire
When: Saturday, 20 April and Sunday, 21 April - more info here

Participate in the DKV-UrbanTrail by walking or running 5, 10, 18, 27 or 34 kilometres. The routes take athletes and walkers through the cobbled streets of old Luxembourg to little-known dirt roads and off the beaten track around Luxembourg City. It’s a wonderful route, and you can sign up now!

7. Bust your brain at pub quiz

What: Are you Luxembourg’s smartest?
